Mr. Nauman has vast experience as a litigator before the High Courts, lower courts and specialist tribunals of Pakistan. He has appeared on behalf of and advised textile, flour, real estate, services sector and Federal Board of Revenue. Mr. Nauman is well-versed with laws relating to federal and provincial taxes. The major expertise of Mr. Nauman lies in the field of litigation, accounting, audit and taxation. He began his career with an accounting background and along with his studies has gained experience in accounting, audit, and taxation by working with several firms. Mr. Nauman has worked in leading law firms like Axis Law Chambers and Ahmed and Pansota where he has honed skills regarding due diligence, legal research and mergers and acquisitions. He has been part of Abbasi and Company (Pvt.) Ltd. where he gained knowledge regarding stock exchange rules and regulations regarding sales/purchase settlement of transactions and concerned tax implications and bookkeeping of clients. He has further done internships in Ernst and Young’s tax department and has also remained part of audit team of A.F Ferguson & Co. (A member firm of PWC International). He has completed his articles from Baker Tilly Mehmood Idrees Qamar (Lahore office) where he worked 2 years in the audit department and performed statutory audits of various sectors (medical, textile, services and engineering). And the last 1.5 years he has worked in the tax department where his core duties were preparation of Income tax returns, sales tax returns, withholding statements, compliance with statutory notices and appearing for appeals. He is also well versed with handling corporate matters including but not limited to incorporation of companies with SECP and completing the statutory corporate requirements. Mr. Nauman has also become a well-known name in legal academia, having research papers published in local law reviews and having a dissertation published in Contract Law.
